 Parts of speech ൽ ആദ്യത്തേത്.

ഒരുവ്യക്തിയുടെയോ,
സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെയോ,വസ്തുവിന്റെയോ പേരിനെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു ..
ലോകത്തിലുള്ള ഏതു വസ്തുവിന്റെ പേരും Noun നു ഉദാഹരണമാണ്
അതുപോലെ ഏതൊരു വ്യക്തിയുടെ പേരും Noun നു ഉദാഹരണമാണ്
ഏതൊരു സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ പേരും Noun നു ഉദാഹരണമാണ് .
ഇത് കൂടാതെ ഈ ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള ഏതൊരു ഗുണദോഷ അവസ്ഥയും Noun ആയി അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു

Types of noun

1 .Singular noun and plural noun (ഏകവചനവും ബഹുവചനവും )
Noun ,singular ഉം plural ഉം ഉണ്ട് eg :Boy -singular ,Boys -plural ,സാധാരണയായി singular noun ന്റെ last "s"ചേർത്താണ് plural ആക്കുന്നത് .എന്നാൽ എല്ലായ്‌പോഴും ഈ നിയമം ബാധകമല്ല

fish - fish
tooth - teeth
man - men
woman -women

2.Proper Noun (സംജ്ഞാ നാമം ):-പ്രത്യേകമായി ഒരു വ്യക്തിയുടെയോ ,സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെയോ വസ്തുവിന്റെയോ ഒക്കെ പേരിനെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിനെ Proper Noun എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.Proper noun ന്റെ ആദ്യത്തെ letter എപ്പോളും capital ആയിരിക്കണം .eg :Ramu ,Kozhikodu ,Himalaya ,Ganga etc .

3 .Common Noun(സാമാന്യ നാമം )-ഒരു പ്രത്യേക വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പെട്ട ഒരു കൂട്ടത്തിനെ പൊതുവായി പറയുന്നതിന് Common Noun എന്ന് പറയുന്നു eg :-river ,mountain ,student ,king ,minister,president ,
teacher,brother,hometown,country, airport.

4 .Collective Noun (സർവ്വനാമം )- ഒരു കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെയോ,സമൂഹത്തിന്റെയോ പേരിനെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ Noun, Collective Noun എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു eg :-Audience ,Committe,family

5 .Abstract Noun (ഗുണനാമം )- ഏതെങ്കിലും നന്മ-തിന്മകൾ , ഗുണ-ദോഷങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയ അവസ്ഥകളിയൊക്കെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പേരിന് Abstract Nounഎന്ന് പറയുന്നു. eg :Knowledge ,poverty ,slavery ,childhood ,kindness ,sadness joy, boredom , liberty

6 .Compound nouns (സംയുക്ത നാമം) -refer to two or more nouns combined to form a single noun രണ്ടോ അതിൽ കൂടുതലോ noun ഒന്നിച്ചു ചേർന്ന് ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന ഒറ്റ noun ,compound noun എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു eg :sister-in-law, schoolboy, fruit juice

7 .Material Noun -(ദ്രവ്യനാമം) - ദ്രവ്യങ്ങളുടെ പേരിനെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സമയം noun, material Nounഎന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.eg :-clay ,silver ,iron

8 .Gender noun (ലിംഗനാമം) - Gender: Masculine(പുരുഷ നാമം) and Feminine Nouns(സ്ത്രീനാമം),ചില നാമങ്ങൾ common gender (സാമാന്യലിംഗത്തിൽ) പെടുന്നു .eg :- baby,bird,cat,cattle,child,singer,student,teacher,
